Thanks to our Mode Referral Program, as a user, you will be able to earn a referral reward for every friend you invite to Mode who buys £100 worth of Bitcoin or spends £100 using Mode Pay. Further details below. Please note: This offer is currently only available to UK customers at this time.
How it works:
- Start by logging into the Mode app, click ‘More’, and then ‘Spread the word’. From there you can share your unique referral link with a friend.
- Your friend can click on the referral link and create a Mode Account. Once your referred friend has clicked on the referral link, they will be asked to enter their phone number. An automated text message will be sent to that phone number, containing a download link.
- If your referred friend successfully creates a Mode Account and your referred friend either (i) buys £100 worth of Bitcoin (BTC) or more (ii) or spends £100 or more using Mode Pay, each within 30 days of creating his or her Mode Account, you both will receive a £10 worth of Bitcoin referral reward. Your referral rewards will be paid 24 hours after the order has been completed. Orders can take up to several hours to settle.
- Your referred friend is only able to unlock the referral reward once.
- Referral rewards will be credited to you and your referred friend’s Rewards Accounts on the Mode app.
- In just one click you can share your referral link via WhatsApp, Social Media or Email.
- Referral links look like a link to https://modeapp.com except they have unique code at the end to identify your Mode Account. For example: https://modeapp.com/referral/REFERRAL_CODE
- When a referred friend (i) clicks your link; (ii) enters their telephone number on the referral page and (iii) creates their Mode Account, they will be immediately allocated as your referred friend.
- There is no limit to the number of friends you can refer.
- The referral reward will appear as pending on your and your referred friend’s Rewards Accounts’ transaction history for 24 hours. After that time, the referral reward will appear as credited.
- You can see your referral reward history by visiting your transaction history on your Rewards Account on the Mode app.
- Promoting your referral code through the use of paid advertising on ‘Mode’, Mode-related keywords or other promotional activities is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, bidding or running ads on search brand keywords that include ‘Mode’ or similar variations and using ‘Mode’ branded terms in your ad copy, is not appropriate. Referrers who engage in such activities will have their referral codes deactivated and all referrals resulting from such activities are ineligible for referral payments.
- We reserve the right to validate transactions before the referral rewards are issued.
Why can’t I see my referral reward?
There are a few possible reasons:
- Your referred friend might have used a different referral link.
- You or your referred friend are not based in the UK.
- Your referred friend has not met the conditions within 30 days of your referred friend creating the Mode Account.
- Your referred friend needs to verify his or her Mode Account and initiate a purchase of £100 or more of BTC or spend over £100 using Mode Pay. The purchase(s) has to have been completed, meaning either (i) that the BTC has reached your referred friend’s Bitcoin Account on the Mode app or (ii) your referred friend’s payment has been successful using Mode Pay . Orders to purchase BTC can take several hours to settle. The amount can be a cumulative £100 (it can happen over multiple purchases).
- If your referred friend fails to complete the requirements to obtain a reward within 30 days of creating his or her Mode Account, neither party will receive a referral reward.
- We check for duplicate or fake Mode Accounts. We will not pay out referral rewards on these Mode Accounts and reserve the right to suspend such Mode Accounts. We also reserve the right to suspend or cancel transactions suspected of being fraudulent and such customers may have their details passed to the relevant authorities for further investigation.

This Mode Referral Program is not available for use in conjunction with any other program offered by Mode. We reserve the right to alter, amend or terminate the Program at any stage without prior notice. By participating in this Mode Referral Program, you acknowledge referral rewards are not guaranteed by Mode.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, damage and/or personal injury suffered by participating in this Program and/or arising out of the enjoyment of the referral reward.
The referred user must provide the full details required in the Mode Account opening procedure. We cannot be held responsible for an invalid email address or other problems relating to the delays to the delivery of or non-receipt of emails, including the effect of spam filters.
We accept no liability for lost referrals and no responsibility for difficulties experienced in opening a Mode Account, including any technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an ability to participate in the Mode Referral Program.
Use of the Mode App is governed by the Customer Terms and Conditions, which can be found here.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
